"TOURS DE FORCE" is:
an exciting vocal ensemble specializing in "Broadway Vocal Jazz".
Using primarily the music created by the great American composers for Broadway musicals and Hollywood films as a foundation, their repertoire features everything from tight, four part harmonies to soaring solos and electrifying duets.
They perform in theatrical, symphonic and cabaret/jazz club settings.

About the Performers
Cheryl Massey-Peters, has appeared in featured roles in such productions as Point Your Wagon with Roy Clark, The Sound of Music with Paige O'Hara, Hello Dolly with Joanne Worley and Cabaret with Sam Harris, as well as, understudying Juliet Prowse's title role in the national tour of Mame.
Other credits include South Pacific and Brigadoon with the 5th Avenue Theatre Company, Sunday in the Park With George with The Seattle Repertory Theatre, Doctor Doolittle Goes To The Moon and Pinocchio with The Seattle Children's Theatre and leading roles in the Summer Stock productions across the country of Carnival, The King and I, and You Can't Take It With You, among others.
Ms. Peters was most recently seen in the 5th Avenue's productions of the Secret Garden and ANYTHING GOES.
Diane Sweeney, was active in choral groups throughout her school years, but her formal voice training began after high school.
Her musical theater involvement began as the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, followed Julie in Carousel and by the role of Sally Kato in the 5th Avenue's inaugural season production of Mame.
She has performed in nine productions at the 5th Avenue Theatre. Ms. Sweeney was a principal soloist with the Federal Way Chorale for five years and this fall was the featured soloist for the Federal Way Symphony's Champagne POPS concert.
Ms. Sweeney also sings with "THE TEMPOS" a big band performing throughout the area.
In December, Ms. Sweeney was the guest soloist with the Tacoma Symphony performing original works and arrangements by David Duvall. She is also one Federal Way's "Three Sopranos".
Ms. Sweeney was most recently seen March 24/25 singing the alto solo in the Mozart's requeim with the Federal Way Symphony/Federal Way Chorale.
David Kirk Blackham, Tenor, toured internationally with BYU's Young Ambassadors. He has played leading or featured role in Berlin to Broadway with Kurt Weill, The Fanatics, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Carousel, Wonderful Town and Guys and Dolls.
Mr. Blackham has also appeared in a variety on nightclub shows with the American Musical Theatre Ensemble. David is the co-owner of David Lawrence Fine Clothier for Men and can be found, on just about any given day at their Seattle location in Rainier Square.
James Caddell, has extensive Broadway, television and recording credits, including four years performing in the Pirates of Penzance on Broadway and on the national tour.
He spent four years touring as a vocalist for Loretta Lynn and has appeared in numerous television shows. His regional credits include performing the voice of Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors for ACT and singing the role of Joe in Showboat with the Washington D.C. Civic Light Opera, The Riverside Opera and the Tacoma Opera.
Mr. Caddell has had the pleasure of singing for Presidents Ford, Reagan and Bush. He has recorded two gospel albums and a solo jazz album.
David Duvall, Musical Director/Accompanist, has spent 25 years in the professional theater, with over 200 productions to his credit. He is a two time Emmy-Award nominee for Best Original Music for Television, and his television scores include the PBS series DEATH: The Trip Of A Lifetime and VAUDEVILLE: An American Master Special.
He has created 50 original musical revues and concerts for theaters and nightclubs across the country, with the most recent being NO ONE IS ALONE, a collection of songs by Stephen Sondheim currently playing at the Cabaret de Paris in Seattle through May 2001.
He teaches musical theater at Studio East in Kirkland where he recently directed AUNTIE MAME and will musical direct the SOUND OF MUSIC and THE MUSIC MAN in coming months. He will return for his 6th production at Tacoma Little Theatre this spring with GUYS AND DOLLS.
