Background Federal Way is a new city where businesses and residents alike enjoy many of the amenities for a beneficial and satisfying lifestyle. It is currently the 7th largest city in the state. The Federal Way Coalition of the Performing Arts (FWCPA), an umbrella organization based in Federal Way, is an active participant in the drive for a performance hall. Organized in 1989, the FWCPA is a non-profit, experienced all volunteer 501(c)3 registered organization that raised $400,000 towards the construction of the Knutzen Family theatre. The Federal Way Arts Commission's Cultural Plan recognizes the need for such a facility, and suggests a 1,000 seat performance hall which could be configured for different sizes and uses. Making the dream a reality If each person who enjoys the arts in any form contributes to this cause, we would be well on our way to accomplishing the goal. We are hopeful that the city, school district and private interests will develop a partnership. To make a tax-deductible donation, please make checks or money order payable to: FWCPA, P.O.
